HEALTH/DENTAL SERVICES

Service Areas

  • HEALTH SERVICES: Health education classes and screenings conducted by professional volunteers or organizations on varied topics or for varied health areas; also offers prescription assistance to low-income individuals with chronic health problems requiring long-term medication.
  • DENTAL SERVICES: Referrals for free adult dental cleanings and periodontal management through Howard Junior College School of Dental Hygiene in Big Spring and to Midland Community Healthcare Services for primary care. Education sessions and information for awareness and prevention of issues related to oral health also provided.

Who's Eligible?
Low-income persons of all ages and ethnic backgrounds with no means of affordable health/dental care.

Fees
Clients may pay a small fee based on a sliding scale.

Hours
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday; evenings and weekends as scheduled.

Clients Served
Over 1000 individuals served each year.

Service Provided
More than 11,000 units of service annually (defined as one person participating in one activity, i.e., sessions, classes, appointments, phone calls, etc. on one day).
