SENIOR SERVICES
Service Areas
- PLANNED ACTIVITIES: Varied social, educational, recreational and nutritional opportunities with planning and input provided by program participants.
- CASE COORDINATION: Social Service support provided on an individual basis including phone calls, home visits, making appointments, completing forms, offering transportation to medical and social service appointments or to pay bills plus providing individual support to deal with personal situations in order to remain independent.
- CITYWIDE COMMUNITY SERVICES: Provides one-time deep cleaning and weekly homemaker services as scheduled at no charge for low-income handicapped and elderly persons who live in unsafe or unsanitary conditions.
Who's eligible?
Persons generally 60 years and older, primarily low-income, of all ethnic backgrounds. Fees
Clients may contribute small costs of program supplies and make donations for meals provided onsite by Community & Senior Services.
Hours
9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday; evenings and weekends as scheduled.
Clients served
More than 950 individuals participate each year.
Service provided
More than 55,000 units of service annually (defined as one person participating in one activity, i.e., sessions, classes, appointments, phone calls, etc. on one day).
