HEALTH/DENTAL SERVICES:

Health Services Education Assistant: Assist in planning and providing health education to individuals or groups. Any day, Monday - Friday as scheduled.
Dentist-Children’s Dental Clinic: Perform dental care for children such as fillings, pulpotomys, crowns, and extractions. Must be licensed in Texas with proof of liability insurance. Two or three times per year on Tuesday or Thursday, 5:00 - 8:30 p.m., during school year.

Dental Hygienist-Children’s Dental Clinic: Perform cleaning and x-rays of teeth. Teach oral hygiene skills and good nutrition habits. Three hours once per month on Tuesday or Thursday, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., during school year. Registered hygienist license in Texas required.

Dental Assistant-Children’s Dental Clinic: Assist attending dentist, set up and clean operatories, take and develop x-rays, and seat clients. Chairside dental assisting experience required. Once or twice per month on Tuesday or Thursday nights, 5:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Receptionist-Children’s Dental Clinic: Greet children and parents, distribute and help fill out paper work, prepare name tags for patients, collect fees and schedule appointments. Bilingual helpful. Tuesday or Thursday nights during school year, 4:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Dental Assistant-Adult Extraction Clinic: Assist attending dentist, set up and clean operatories, set up trays, develop x-rays and seat clients. Chairside assisting experience required. One Monday night per month, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Receptionist-Adult Extraction Clinic: Greet patients, distribute and help fill out paper work, prepare nametags for patients, collect fees and schedule appointments. Bilingual helpful.

Howard College Program Coordinator: Coordinate patients who are signed up to go to Howard College for cleanings and x-rays. Fill out forms, call patients to confirm attendance, fill vacancies, and call Howard College to confirm number of patients. Bilingual preferred. At least once per month on Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, during school year.

File Clerk: File patient records for all dental programs. Prepare patient files for clinics. One or more hours per week.
