SENIOR SERVICES:

Citywide Community Services Homemaker: Provide light homemaker services to frail elderly and handicapped persons. One to three hours a week.

Grocery Escort: Accompany senior citizens to grocery store and assist in using food stamp card to purchase groceries. Flexible hours as scheduled.

Health Screening Aide: Assist with maintaining files and charts for blood pressure monitoring and well-being of seniors. Two hours once a month.

Crafts Instructor: Plan arts and crafts activities and assist class participants with projects. One to two hours per week in the mornings.

Ceramics Assistant: Assist in pouring ceramic slips and removing from molds. Maintain ceramics area in order. Two hours per week in the mornings.

Party Organizer: Assist in planning and assigning tasks for birthday celebrations and special events. Three to four hours per month.

Spanish Bible Class Facilitator: Lead a group in sharing their faith. Able to work with diverse faiths. One hour per week.

Program Aide: Assist Activity Coordinator with daily functions and scheduled activities. Flexible hours, Monday - Friday, in the morning.

Exercise Leader: Lead seniors in exercises appropriate to their physical ability. Experience or training in geriatrics preferred. Thirty minutes, 3 times a week in the mornings.

Sing-A-Long Leader: Lead a group in singing gospel and other favorite songs. May need to accompany group to sing elsewhere. One hour per week in the morning.

Special Events Organizer: Assist Activity Coordinator in planning and implementing weekend/evening activities. Five or six times per year.
Donations Coordinator: Solicit donations and volunteers to supplement special events and activities. Flexible hours, depending on event.

Outreach Specialist: Promote public awareness of program by making home visits and phone calls to potential senior clients. Two to four hours per month.
