Members from the community graciously donate fully decorated Christmas trees and wreaths that provide seasonal cheer for the Midland Centennial and Downtown Library patrons.  On Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 4:00-6:00, the Festival of Trees officially kicks off the season with  cookies, music and a tree lighting at the Midland Centennial Library, located on Loop 250. After being at the library for two weeks, the trees are given to Casa de Amigos families who would otherwise not have a tree.   The wreaths go to homebound senior citizens for a little Christmas cheer.  This event raises funds funds through event sponsorships that impact Casa de Amigos programs and services while the trees and wreaths provide encouragement as our friends and neighbors work towards self sufficiency or maintaining their independence.   If you are interested in becoming a sponsor or donating a tree please contact Tonya Eckert at (432) 682- 9701.
